A very moving memorial. The outlook is outstanding. A visit must include the morning walk around by the guide. There is so much symbolism in the structure which has to be explained. A great tribute to the men still lost at sea.

The morning tour of the site with a guide is a must. It is remarkable Every facet of the Memorial symbolically represents the HMAS Sydney and her crew.. it is a moving experience and gave us an appreciation of the ship, all the souls lost, the and the loved ones left behind. The sorrow and futility of War, and the resilience of the human spirit. Hearing their stories bought tears to our eyes. Once you have done the tour, you will realise that It deserves more than a 15minute walk around. It’s a unique tribute to our lost servicemen in the line of duty during wartime. I can’t reccommend the guided tour highly enough.

We thought the stories were powerful, the location was amazing and there were photo opportunities everywhere. Apparently the interpretive volunteer guides are wonderful too. Recommended.

An informative wall dedicated what happened and for all those who vanished. Great view from atop.
